The samples were transported aboard a CASA C-295 military transport aircraft operated by Brigade 918 of the Air Defense - Air Force Service.

Speaking at the ceremony, MR9 Political Commissar Lieutenant General Ho Van Thai emphasized that, implementing the 500-day campaign launched by the National Steering Committee for the search for, collection, and identification of martyrs’ remains, the officers and soldiers of MR9, together with relevant agencies and units, have made all-out efforts and showed the highest level of political responsibility toward fallen soldiers.

“The transportation of 15,401 samples of martyrs’ remains today marks the 11th such transfer and the first time the samples have been transported by military aircraft. This is a flight of gratitude and remembrance; it represents the heartfelt emotions of millions of people turning toward their roots and toward the outstanding people who laid down their lives for the Fatherland and the nation,” General Thai affirmed.
