At the event, Nguyen Thi Kieu Loan, Deputy Director of the Dong Thap provincial Department of Home Affairs, reported on the local implementation of care and policies for wounded and sick soldiers, martyrs’ families, and contributors to the revolution.

Over the past years, Dong Thap province has confirmed, processed benefits for, and managed over 194,000 policy beneficiaries. Currently, more than 20,420 individuals receive monthly preferential allowances funded by approximately VND 620 billion from the state budget, while 30,253 people have received one-time allowances totaling around VND 93 billion. In response to the “500-day campaign to accelerate the search, collection, and identification of martyrs’ remains,” the province has collected 65 sets of remains and taken biological samples from 11,810 unidentified martyrs’ graves.
Speaking at the meeting, Senior Colonel Tran Quang Thanh expressed profound gratitude for the immense dedication and sacrifices of fallen heroes, wounded and sick soldiers, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and national contributors in Dong Thap.

The official emphasized that the Central Military Commission and the Defense Ministry consistently direct functional units to closely coordinate with ministries, sectors, and localities in advising the Party and State to issue and supplement preferential policies. These efforts aim to better meet the aspirations of contributors and strengthen their trust in the Party, State, and military.
Senior Colonel Tran Quang Thanh highly valued the local Party committee, authorities, armed forces, and people of Dong Thap province for effectively implementing gratitude activities, especially in supporting the search and repatriation of martyrs’ remains. The Deputy Director requested the provincial Department of Home Affairs to continue ensuring the full and timely implementation of preferential policies and to effectively execute the “500-day campaign.”
