As reported, due to the impacts of Storm Noru, provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue witnessed heavy rains. The storm caused flooding in several areas, blew off the roof of 490 houses, collapsed eight houses, damaged 180 coastal restaurants, and flooded agricultural and aquatic products.
* In Quang Nam province, over 1,000 troops and militiamen, together with other relevant forces, rushed to the storm-hit areas to help people clear fallen trees, clean up the environment and repair schools and people’s houses.

Reportedly, in Tam Ky city, the storm blew off the roof of 1,334 houses and six schools, destroyed three houses, damaged 20 hectares of crops, and knocked down a large number of trees, to name but a few.

Meanwhile, in Duy Xuyen district, the storm caused landslides in Duy Hai commune and on the embankment of the Thu Bon River, ruined a house, blew off the roof of 155 houses and 30 schools in the locality and sank a fishing boat. Six people were injured, four medium- and high-voltage poles collapsed, among others.
