Army units help local people overcome storm aftermath

On August 24th, more than 200 troops from Phu Xuan Regiment and armed forces in Phu Vang District were sent to Phu Hai Commune to help local people overcome the aftermath of the storm. They took part in cleaning up the environment and repairing 50 houses and a school.
Leaders of the Provincial Military Command presented gifts to those injured during the storm. According to Colonel Dang Ngoc Nghia, Head of the provincial Military Command, several army units focused on helping local people without doing their daily duties.
At present, these units work with local authorities to help people in storm-hit areas. Earlier, 500 soldiers and officers from military commands in districts of Phong Dien, Quang Dien, Phu Vang, Huong Tra and Phu Loc were sent to harvest crops for local farmers in flooded areas.
