Summer youth volunteer activities held in Phu Loc district

PANO - The Youth Union Organizations of the Thua Thien Hue provincial Border Guard Command and Phu Loc district jointly organized the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign in 2023 with a series of meaningful and practical activities on June 17 and 18 in Loc Binh commune, Phu Loc district.

At the launching ceremony, the Thua Thien Hue provincial Youth Union Organization handed over the “Brave Youth” badge of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to two Youth Union members, who risked their lives to save drowning people. Participating units presented 1,000 national flags to Phu Loc district’s Youth Union Organization, economic development models to needy households, and 100 gifts to needy people and students in the district.

After the ceremony, youths from participating units installed a solar light system, built a model flag road, supported needy households to repair their houses, and dredged irrigation canals in Loc Binh commune.

Summer youth volunteer campaign was an opportunity to raise youths’ awareness of voluntary activities and strengthen the solidarity between Youth Union organizations and border guard force. Through activities within the campaign, youths applied their acquired knowledge and enhanced their practical skills.

Over the past time, the campaign has attracted active participation of youths. The vanguard and voluntary spirit of youths have greatly contributed to the efforts of industries and authorities of border communes in socio-economic development and defense and security consolidation.
