According to Senior Captain Vo Huy Thang from Ca Xeng Border Post, under the direction of the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command on the launch and implementation of the “Saturday returns to villages” program, the unit coordinated with local authorities, departments and branches to present gifts to four students under the “Paving the way to school for children - Adopted children of border stations” program, and offered 150 sets of clothes, 50 sets of blankets, nets, and pillows to people in On, Yen Hop, Mo O O O villages.
Meanwhile, the unit mobilized troops and local people to build a new house for Cao Xuan Le, born in 2010, an orphaned child with difficult conditions; clean up the environment surrounding the community house; and take care of Boehmeria nivea trees, to name but a few.

The program was launched by the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command to create changes in mass mobilization work, especially promoting the role of party members who are border troops in villages and the role of village elders, village patriarchs, and reputable people in building and consolidating the political base, boosting socio-economic development, helping people eradicate hunger and reduce poverty.
Up to now, military units under the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command have mobilized more than 1,000 troops and local people to clean the environment and collect rubbish, harvest crops, repair houses and provide water for local people. The units also granted scholarships, clothes, and books to disadvantaged students; handed over national flags and life jackets to fishermen and ethnic minority people; and offered free health check-ups and counseling and haircuts for hundreds of people.

Cleaning up the environment |
As reported, over the past years, the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command has issued many policies and solutions to direct agencies and units, especially border posts along the borderline, to promote the organization of activities to build and consolidate the political base, enhance socio-economic development, and help people eliminate hunger and reduce poverty in a sustainable manner.
Agencies and units have worked together to carry out many models, including “Light in border areas,” “Paving the way to school for children - Adopted children of border stations,” “Border spring warms up border people's hearts,” etc., contributing to building firm whole people's border and people's heart postures.

Senior Colonel Trinh Thanh Binh, Commanding officer of the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command, shared that the program will promote the synergy of the party committee and local authority at all levels, agencies and units and benefactors, mobilize them to join hands with the border guard force to conduct more practical models and activities for local people, thereby raising their spiritual and material life, particular those in ethnic minority-inhabited areas.
