Military maintains forces ready to respond to Typhoon Bualoi
PANO – On the evening of September 26, the Office of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee reported that, by the afternoon of the same day, border guard forces of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Lam Dong, in coordination with local authorities and vessel owners, had informed and guided 67,970 fishing boats on the developments and path of the tenth storm (Typhoon Bualoi) and helped them seek safe shelters.
The military has maintained 417,466 officers, soldiers, and militiamen, along with numerous vehicles and equipment, ready for disaster response.
* On September 26, a delegation of the Military Region 4 Command, led by Major General Le Hong Nhan, Deputy Commander and Chief-of-Staff of the military region, inspected the preparedness for the storm at Cua Lo Port, Nghe An province.

He requested units to closely monitor the typhoon’s developments, coordinate with local authorities to promptly evacuate people from dangerous areas, and maintain forces and means ready for search and rescue. By 4:00 p.m. on September 26, more than 116,000 troops and over 1,200 specialized vehicles and equipment had been deployed at key locations across the region. Over 22,700 fishing boats in five provinces and cities from Thanh Hoa to Hue had found safe anchorage. Local armed forces continued assisting people in reinforcing houses, securing facilities, and relocating residents from hazardous areas.
* The Coast Guard Region 2 Command also implemented synchronous measures to cope with Typhoon Bualoi. Units reinforced barracks and warehouses, pruned trees, cleared drainage, and dismantled billboards.

Mobile teams of the region and ships of Flotilla 21 and Squadron 202 maintained sufficient personnel and equipment, ready for rescue operations and to support localities in minimizing damage.
