Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang commemorates fallen soldiers in Anh Son district
PANO – A mission of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, led by Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, laid wreath and offered incense in commemoration of fallen soldiers at the Vietnam – Laos War Cemetery in Anh Son district, Nghe An province on July 21.
The Deputy Chief of the General Staff was accompanied by Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4 Major General Nguyen Duc Hoa and representatives of the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 4, the Nghe An provincial Military Command and local Party Committee and authorities.
In a solemn atmosphere, Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang and the visiting delegation offered incense in remembrance of soldiers who laid down their lives for national independence and freedom and noble international service.

The head of the visiting delegation penned down on the remembrance book that troops of the Vietnam People’s Army will be absolutely loyal to the Party, State, and people and build a revolutionary, regular, elite, and gradually modern military to firmly protect the Socialism Republic of Vietnam.
On the occasion, Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang handed over the gifts of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, worth VND 2 million each, to 20 wounded soldiers and policy beneficiaries in Anh Son district and a gift package to the management board of the Vietnam – Laos War Cemetery.
At the gift presentation ceremony, the deputy chief of the General Staff and the visiting delegation inquired after the local wounded soldiers, families of fallen soldiers and national contributors. They expressed respect and deep gratitude to policy beneficiaries and expected that they will bring into play revolutionary tradition and encourage their children to actively participate in patriotic movement in their locality.
The incense offering and gift presentation activities were to mark the 75th anniversary of the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers' Day (July 27, 1947 - 2022).
