GDP Chief offers incense in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh
PANO - On the occasion of the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, a delegation of the Central Military Commission (CMC), Ministry of National Defense (MND), led by Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Sr. Lt. Gen. Trinh Van Quyet offered incense and flowers in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at Kim Lien special national relic site in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province on May 12.
In the solemn atmosphere, the GDP chief and the delegation expressed deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh - the brilliant leader of the Party and people, the founder and trainer of the Vietnam People's Army, and an outstanding figure in the international communist and workers’ movement. He devoted and sacrificed his whole life to the cause of national liberation and the struggle for peace and happiness of the Vietnamese people and people in the world.

The delegation also vowed to be absolutely loyal to the Party, Fatherland and people; stay united and uphold the traditions of Uncle Ho’s soldiers; and remain determined to build a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern military.

Then, Sr. Lt. Gen. Trinh Van Quyet visited the tomb of Hoang Thi Loan, mother of President Ho Chi Minh, on Dong Tranh mountain, Nam Giang commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province. The delegation also offered incense in remembrance of Ha Thi Hy, President Ho Chi Minh’s paternal grandmother, and Nguyen Sinh Xin, his younger brother.
