Delegates pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh |
At the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House (at De Pass, Phu Dinh Commune, Dinh Hoa District, Thai Nguyen Province), where President Ho Chi Minh and the Party Central Committee, along with the Government, lived and worked during the resistance war against the French colonialists from 1946 to 1954, General Phan Van Giang and the delegation solemnly offered incense and flowers in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, expressing deep gratitude for his immense contributions.
At the event, the delegates, representing the officers, staff, and soldiers of the Vietnam People’s Army, vowed to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle, to remain united, absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people; to build the Vietnam People’s Army into a revolutionary, regular, elite, and gradually modern force; to maintain the highest revolutionary vigilance; and to firmly safeguard the Fatherland.

As part of the trip, General Phan Van Giang and the other delegates planted a commemorative tree at Pu Don Hill Historical Site in Tin Keo Hamlet, Phu Dinh Commune, Dinh Hoa District, Thai Nguyen Province. It was there that in 1948 President Ho Chi Minh presided over the ceremony to confer the rank of General and the position of Commander-in-Chief of the National Army and Militia upon Comrade Vo Nguyen Giap.
