In the Co To Special Zone, including Thanh Lan and Co To islands, no major damage to human lives or property was reported. On the morning of July 22, at Hamlet 1, Co To Special Zone, Thanh Lan Border Post deployed dozens of officers and soldiers to work alongside local militia force, mass organizations, and residents to clear fallen trees and landslide debris, ensuring safe and clear roads.
Head of Thanh Lan Border Post Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Tung said that the unit’s personnel understand that the danger isn’t over after the storm has passed, so they remain deployed in key areas, ready to assist residents as needed.

On Tran Island, two response teams from Tran Island Border Post, comprising 15 officers and soldiers, were sent out to help locals repair damage, reinforce houses, and secure livestock shelters.
The teams also assisted residents in checking electrical and water systems, securing roofs, and trimming dangerous trees around their houses.
The Quang Ninh provincial Border Guard Command has ordered coastal and island units to maintain high alert status, inspect infrastructure, warehouses, and barracks, and continue working closely with local authorities to assess damage, compile reports, and recommend appropriate support measures.

In Bai Tu Long Bay, Flotilla 11 of Coast Guard Region 1 dispatched teams to inquire after and encourage fishermen in storm shelters. The unit’s delegation also presented essential supplies, including national flags, life jackets, and food items, as an encouragement to them.
The teams also shared official safety guidelines and emergency response protocols, emphasizing that fishing activities must not resume while post-storm conditions remain volatile.
Flotilla 11’s activity not only enhanced safety awareness among fishermen but also strengthened the bond between the military and coastal communities, contributing to reinforcing a resilient people’s heart posture at sea.

In Quang Tri province, the storm caused roof damage to 42 households in Ba Long commune, along with numerous fallen trees and destroyed property. In response, Division 968 under Military Region 4 deployed over 150 officers and soldiers, who had been already in the area for a mass mobilization activities, to provide timely support.
With the determination to serve the people, troops moved quickly to clear debris, repair roofs, and help residents begin restoring their lives. They also assisted in relocating belongings, rebuilding auxiliary structures, and reinforcing houses against further adverse weather.

The division’s Political Commissar Senior Colonel Dang Quyet Thang said that upholding the qualities of Uncle Ho’s Soldiers, the unit always views helping people recover from natural disasters as a core mission in peacetime.
