At the meeting, Vo Van Tam, Deputy Director of the Vinh Long provincial Department of Home Affairs, reported on the outcomes of implementing policies for wounded and sick soldiers, martyrs’ families, and national contributors in the province.

Accordingly, Vinh Long currently manages 267,671 records of national contributors, including over 70,000 martyrs, nearly 35,000 wounded and sick soldiers, over 13,200 heroic Vietnamese mothers, and 90 people honored with title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces.” Annually, the province provides convalescent care for 20,891 individuals, with 18,860 receiving home-based care and 2,031 attending centralized facilities. In 2025, the provincial Gratitude Fund mobilized nearly VND 13 billion. All living heroic Vietnamese mothers in the locality receive lifelong support from various agencies, units, and businesses.

Speaking at the event, Sr. Col. Ngo Thi Le expressed deep gratitude for the immense sacrifices and contribution of the individuals and families in Vinh Long to the country’s revolutionary cause. She also highly evaluated local authorities and residents for their efforts in gratitude activities, particularly in supporting the search and collection of martyrs’ remains.

Gifts from the Ministry of National Defense presented to national contributors from Vinh Long province

The Deputy Director of the Department of Policy - Social Affairs proposed that the provincial Department of Home Affairs continue to ensure the full and timely implementation of welfare policies for national contributors and effectively implement the “500-day campaign to accelerate the search, collection, and identification of martyrs’ remains.”

On this occasion, Sr. Col. Ngo Thi Le presented 77 gifts from the Ministry of National Defense to the delegation of national contributors from Vinh Long province.
