At the event

The organizing panel presented 80 gift packages, worth VND 100,000 each, notebooks, schoolbags, and toys to local children. Each gift package included moon cakes, milk, candies, and a lantern.

During the program, participating children took part in folk games and artistic performances. They also listened to stories about the legend of Cuoi and Hang Nga (the two fairy-tale characters who live on the Moon), helping them better understand the meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Although the gifts were not much in value, they brought joy and excitement to many children in the border locality.

Political Commissar of Bu Chap Border Post Lieutenant Colonel Tran Dang Khoa said that the program demonstrated the care of the officers and soldiers of Bu Chap Border Post for disadvantaged children in the border area. Gifts contributed to encouraging children, especially ethnic minority students, to obtain good academic results.

He added that the program was a good opportunity to strengthen the relationship between troops and people, thus firmly defending the sovereignty and security in border areas.
