A memorandum of understanding on sponsoring the child is signed.

At the event, representatives of the Women Union, local authorities, Women Union of Krong Na district, and the family of Y Dang E signed a memorandum of understanding on sponsoring child Y Dang E, an Ede ethnic orphan born in 2015. Y Dang E’s parents died of fatal illnesses when he was 5 years old. He is now living with the family of his mother’s brother.

Under the program, the Women Union of Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command will give a monthly support of VND 500,000 to the child. The money is donated by the family of Nguyen Tien Vu, a charity association at 58 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

Also at the event, participating units presented Y Dang E cash, rice, milk, clothing, and school supplies, totally worth nearly VND 9 million.

Ms. Ban Mui Loai (center) receives support

On the occasion, units visited and presented two pigs, valued at VND 10 million, to Ban Mui Loai, a resident facing difficulties in Thong Nhat village, Krong Na district.

Earlier, the Dak Lak provincial Border Guar Command’s Women Union and a coffee business named Phuong in Buon Ma Thuot agreed to monthly sponsor two orphans, eight-year-old Le Thi Xuan Thao, and two-year-old Le Duc Hieu, both in village 8, Ea Bar commune, Buon Don district.
