PANO - A high-ranking officer delegation conducted a fact-finding trip to the Infantry Division 5 under the Military Zone 7 and the Corporation 28 under the General Department of Logistics on August 13th.

The delegation included commissars and party secretaries of units under the Defence Ministry, who were participating in the Seminar on Party and Political Work in the whole army in 2012.

At Infantry Division 5, the typical unit in building a comprehensive and strong unit of the Military Zone 7, the delegation had a short tour around the unit’s residential area, kitchen, dining-room, farming and animal husbandry development areas and house of tradition.

During this tour, delegates highly valued the unit’s training and construction of nice environment, farming and husbandry development.

At the working session with the Division, Lieutenant-General Mai Quang Phan, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, hailed outstanding achievements of the unit’s troops over the past time. The Division is always a typical unit in fulfilling various missions of the Military Zone 7 and the Defence Ministry.

The General also asked delegates to study effective models of the Division for later applications to their units.

On the afternoon of the same day, the delegation paid a working visit to Corporation 28. There, Colonel Dau Quang Lanh, the Corp’s CEO, reported them on the unit’s production and trade situations over the past years.

Along with ensuring the defence mission, Corp 28 has produced various clothing which has been widely traded in domestic and international markets.

On behalf of leaders of the General Department of Politics and delegates, Lieutenant-General Mai Quang Phan highly appreciated the Corp’s accomplishments and hoped that the Corp’s cadres and staff will continue striving for and producing more high-quality products.
