Addressing the meeting held by the Party Committee of Corps 11, Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet asked the party committee to continue to direct its affiliates to raise efficiency of production and business, improve management capability, and pay attention to both spiritual and material life of troops and laborers. The unit should also actively engage in building strong local political system, promoting troops-people relations, helping locals develop socio-economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty as well as build new-style rural areas. In addition, it should foster good quality cadres to meet the military- and corps-building tasks in the new situation.
* Applauding the engineering troops in the whole military for their outstanding achievements, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Sr. Lt. Gen. Huynh Chien Thang requested them to strictly realize orders, instructions, observe regulations on combat readiness, conduct search and rescue operations.
He urged them to pro-actively make suggestions to the Ministry of National Defense on the usage of forces, vehicles, and equipment and put personnel and vehicles on stand-by to carry out disaster prevention and control, search and rescue, and building collapse relief missions on request.
The unit was also asked to speed up the progress of defense projects, implement investment projects for key areas, among others.

* At the meeting of the Party Committee of Military Hospital 175 to issue the leadership resolution on task performance in 2024, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Nguyen Doan Anh highly praised the hospital’s outstanding outcomes in 2023, especially the quality of receiving patients, giving treatment and ensuring health care on islands.
The deputy chief of the General Staff asked the hospital’s Party committee to continue to lead its affiliates to improve the quality of professional expertise of the staff, and examination and treatment for troops and people and concentrate on the development of sophisticated techniques.
* Highly appreciating the excellent task performance in 2023 of the Military Institute of Traditional Medicine, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Sr. Lt. Gen. Phung Si Tan requested the unit to continue to bring into play the strength of traditional medicines, actively do research and produce medicines to meet treatment requirements of wounded and sick soldiers, troops in general and people.
The institute should also improve the effectiveness of international cooperation in personnel training, and scientific research.
* Apart from well carrying out training and exercises with different scenarios, Dong Bac Corporation was asked by Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Pham Truong Son to further apply scientific and technological advances to production to raise economic efficiency. Moreover, the corporation should build feasible, close-to-reality production and business plans and effectively carry out mass mobilization work.
* At the meeting to review the implementation of Party and political work in 2023 and map out tasks for 2024, Military Region 5 showed their determination to comprehensively and effectively made three breakthroughs set in the resolution of the military region’s Party Organization in the 2020-2025 tenure.

* This year, the Chemical Corps will actualize plans and projects, prepare forces and vehicles for “peace-time combat” missions of the military. Its affiliates will strictly observe combat readiness regulations, organize training sessions with good quality and contribute to building strong, healthy, typical Party Organization of the corps, as well as strive to achieve higher results against 2023.
* Last year, Corps 18 well performed combat readiness duties and protected big events of the Party, State and military. It conducted 18 flights to serve Party, State, Ministry of National Defense leaders, eight emergency flights to transport patients from islands to the mainland for treatment, and participated in the first joint medical exercise among Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia militaries. Additionally, it completed many plane delivery contracts, and trained foreign pilots of modern helicopters.
In 2024, the corps continues to perform its combat readiness duties, flying missions, search and rescue operations, and reap achievements in production and business with absolute safety in all aspects.
