At the event, delegates reviewed outcomes obtained by the service in 2023, proposed measures to address shortcomings, and came up with orientations to enhance the quality of task performance in 2024.

Last year, under the leadership of the Navy’s Party Committee and the direction of the Command, agencies and units comprehensively fulfilled assigned tasks. Notably, the whole service closely followed situational developments and made timely recommendations to effectively deal with circumstances, contributing to firmly protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands, and marine economic development activities. Agencies and units organized exercises as planned with absolute safety; sent delegations to check and visit troops and people in Truong Sa island district, on DK1 platforms, and islands.
The whole service also witnessed changes in the quality of training, political and ideological education, information dissemination, and discipline observance. Naval troops are united and demonstrated their firm stance and readiness to undertake and successfully fulfill assigned tasks.

This year, the Navy will continue to promote its advisory role, raise combat readiness capability and effectiveness of sea management and quality of exercise, and apply measures to building comprehensively strong, exemplary, and outstanding units in combination with party committees and party organizations excellently fulfilling missions.
Concluding the conference, Vice Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem praised agencies and units for their efforts in implementing and completing missions in 2023. He clarified factors that may affect the agencies and units’ task implementation in 2024 and said that they should closely follow situational development and synchronously take measures to enhance the quality of training, contributing to successfully implementing the missions of managing and protecting national sea and islands.
