According to the document, in the first quarter of this year, the Party Committee of the General Staff will focus its leadership on the implementation of resolutions, directives, and plans on defense and military missions and Party and political work.

Accordingly, agencies and units of the General Staff will continue carrying out key projects, defense and military strategies, protocols on cooperation with foreign partners, and other legal documents.

The resolution also revealed that last year the General Staff’s Party Committee thoroughly embraced the Party’s resolutions and directives, the State’s policies, and resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense while effectively promoting democracy and solidarity among Party members.

The authority also developed various effective leadership guidelines and measures while actively making strategic recommendations for higher levels to deal with military and defense circumstances in a timely manner and to logically re-organize personnel of the staff agencies and units.

Under the Party Committee’s leadership, the quality of the enlistment work and maintenance of weapons and military equipment for combat readiness missions was improved. In the year, staff units paid attention to night training, practicing close-to-reality scenarios, mastering new weapons, and raising troops’ fitness and mobility.
