The MND will also take over the My Dinh National Sports Complex in its entirety, establish centralized and unified management, maintain stable operations and make effective use of its existing land, facilities and infrastructure. The complex will gradually undergo adjustments to its master plan, renovation, upgrading and investment in new facilities.
Following the takeover, the complex will be reorganized as the Viet Nam Defense Sports Complex, under the Department of Military Training and School Management, with an organizational scale equivalent to a brigade.
In his remarks, General Nguyen Tan Cuong required the GS’s functional agencies to closely work with agencies and units of the MND, General Department of Political Affairs, and General Department of Logistics and Technical Services in guiding military regions in selecting and recruiting teachers and staff in accordance with authorized organizational structures and personnel strength, as well as organizing professional training.
Regarding the My Dinh National Sports Complex, General Nguyen Tan Cuong stressed that its takeover and management must be conducted strictly and in accordance with the law. The process should make full use of the complex’s potential and strengths and ensure that it can meet requirements for hosting and organizing major sporting events of international stature.
The GS chief tasked the GS’s functional agencies with studying a plan to receive all personnel currently working at the My Dinh National Sports Complex, ensuring that the arrangement takes into account individual preferences and complies with military regulations, while maintaining uninterrupted operations immediately after the takeover.
