In 2024, agencies, units, and schools within the Commando Corps planted more than 100,000 timber, shade, and fruit trees, along with nearly 500 hectares of forest. These efforts have contributed to reforesting barren land, greening hills, and enhancing the environment. In 2025, units aim to continue expanding their tree-planting efforts to maximize the use of available land.

Major General Hoang Minh Son urged affiliated units and agencies of the Commando Corps to further enhance awareness among officers, soldiers, and their families regarding the profound significance and immense value of tree planting. Additionally, units and schools within the Commando Corps were instructed to strictly implement the Prime Minister’s and Ministry of National Defense’s directives on the tree-planting festival. This includes reviewing land use plans, adjusting afforestation strategies to ensure quality and effectiveness while considering local soil and climate conditions. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining and protecting planted areas, coordinating with local authorities and communities to adopt comprehensive measures for afforestation, tree care, and forest protection, and strengthening efforts in wildfire prevention.

On the same morning, at Warehouse T342 of the Department of Logistics and Technical Services, the Commando Corps also organized a tree-planting event.
