Presenting gifts to local policy beneficiary families

At the launch ceremony, the Hue city Border Guard Command and relevant units presented 20 gifts to policy beneficiaries and needy households. In addition, they handed over four Border Sovereignty flags to hamlets in Loc Vinh commune, Phu Loc district, and the “Youths’ Garden’ project to officers and soldiers of the Border Post of Chan May Port.

After the launch ceremony, officers, soldiers, and youth union members planted trees along Canh Duong beach in Phu Loc district.

On the occasion, units stationed along two border lines of the Hue city Border Guard Command participated in the “Tree-planting festival,” planting 9,500 new trees, contributing to environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and reducing consequences of natural disaster.

Planting trees along Canh Duong beach

* On February 5, in the Ngoc Lam Border Post, the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command launched the “Tree-planting festival” in 2025. The ceremony was chaired by Senior Colonel Ho Quyet Thang, Second-in-command and Chief of Staff of the provincial Border Guard Command.

They focused on two main groups, consisting of long-lived, sustainable trees for landscape with shade, and environmental benefits, and fruit-bearing trees.

* The same day, at the Hoang Truong Border Post, the Thanh Hoa provincial Border Guard Command launched a similar festival.

Following the ceremony, 1,200 fruit and timber trees were newly planted at the border post’s barracks. Meanwhile, units under the Thanh Hoa provincial Border Guard Command also carried out tree-planting activities, with a planned total of over 6,600 trees.

* On February 5, at Regiment 101, Division 325, Army Corps 12 held a launch ceremony for a “Tree-planting festival” on the occasion of the lunar New Year 2025.

From 2021 to 2024, the army corps mobilized all resources to plant 437,060 trees, including 408,410 timber trees and 28,650 fruit trees, achieving all set targets. In 2025, the unit aims to plant 105,390 trees, including 95,960 timber trees and 9,430 fruit trees, with each soldier planting an average of five trees.

* As spring arrives, on the first days of the lunar New Year 2025, the Vietnam Coast Guard Command launched a similar festival. This event highlights the proactiveness of troops in planting trees and protecting the environment.

* On the same day, the Military Region 2 launched the “Tree-planting festival” at the new headquarters of the Phu Tho provincial Military Command in Chu Hoa commune and Van Phu ward, Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province.

This year’s campaign aims to meet tree-planting and afforestation targets in 2025 and the 2021-2025 period with over 71,000 scattered trees planted, among others.
