According to the World Health Organization (WHO), breast cancer is the most common type with about 2.3 million new cases each year, accounting for about 1/8 of all cancers in both men and women. Importantly, breast cancer can be treated effectively if detected early.
However, many cases of breast cancer nowadays are discovered only at a late stage due to low awareness in society and hesitation of breast cancer screenings.
