Chinese naval ships visit Da Nang City
PANO - On December 28, a group of ships of the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) of China, consisting of destroyer Changsha (173) and landing ship Jinggang Shan (999), arrived at Tien Sa Port, commencing a routine port call (technical stop) in Da Nang City from December 28 to 31.
The task group is commanded by Senior Captains Li Chaofeng and Li Yuanfang.

The welcoming ceremony was attended by representatives of Vietnam’s Naval Region 3 Command and other Vietnamese agencies. On the Chinese side, representatives from the Chinese Consulate General in Da Nang City, the Chinese Defense Attaché to Vietnam, and officials from the Chinese Embassy in Hanoi were present.
During the visit, the commanding officers of the Chinese naval ships will pay courtesy calls on leaders of Vietnam’s Naval Region 3 Command. Both sides will engage in various activities, including discussions, cultural exchanges, and sports competitions involving the crew of the Chinese naval ships and personnel of the Naval Region 3 Command. The delegation will also participate in local cultural tours.

This visit aims to enhance cooperation, mutual understanding, and trust between the two navies, contributing to strengthening Vietnam-China bilateral defense cooperation in the time to come.
