The diplomat emphasized that this was also an opportunity to popularize the day and educate people, especially young generation of the two countries, about the invaluable and rare tradition of the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

According to the Vietnamese Consul General, in the time ahead, the world and regional situation continues to develop complicatedly, with many potential factors causing instability, directly affecting the two countries’ national construction and defense cause. That poses higher revolutionary requirements and tasks for each country to firmly defend independence, sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, the Party, State, people and socialist political system, as well as national interests. It also poses new requirements in the comprehensive cooperative partnership between Vietnam and Laos across all fields, from economy-politics to culture-social affairs, and national defense and security.

Therefore, it is important to creatively apply experience gained in the past, especially from the task performance of the Vietnamese volunteer troops and advisors in Laos, to continue to build and strongly consolidate the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties, states, and peoples.
