Vietnamese, Chinese coast guard forces hold second Party and Political Work Exchange Program

Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 1 Command Major General Tran Van Hau led the Viet Nam Coast Guard delegation while Major General Wang Xiaobing, Political Commissar of the Nanhai Division under the China Coast Guard, led the Chinese delegation.

At the opening ceremony, the heads of the two delegations agreed that the exchange of experience in Party and political work was a practical activity that would help enhance mutual understanding and strengthen cooperation between the Viet Nam Coast Guard and China Coast Guard. The program also provided an opportunity for the two sides to share effective approaches to force building, political education, ideological management, Party organization building, and task performance under new circumstances.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the two sides held talks and exchanged experience in Party and political work.

At the talks, the two sides reviewed the results of cooperation between the two forces in recent years and shared practical experience in implementing Party and political work, focusing on building a contingent of cadres, conducting political and ideological education, and raising the sense of responsibility among officers and soldiers in performing their duties. They also discussed issues of mutual concern, contributing to greater mutual understanding and trust and promoting cooperation between the two forces in the coming period.

On the same day, the Viet Nam Coast Guard delegation visited the Site of the Viet Nam Revolutionary Youth Association, toured Huanghuagang Park, and paid tribute at the grave of Martyr Pham Hong Thai. Through these activities, the two sides reviewed historical milestones and the tradition of solidarity and friendship between Viet Nam and China, contributing to strengthening awareness, sentiments and responsibility for preserving and further promoting the increasingly close friendship between the two countries and their two forces in the future.
