These efforts contributed to facilitating cross-border trade and socio-economic development while effectively preventing and combating cross-border crimes, especially human trafficking, smuggling, and illegal immigration, thereby maintaining political security and social order in border areas.
At the talks, the two sides affirmed that the practical and comprehensive cooperation results had contributed to firmly protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security, while building the Viet Nam - China borderline of peace, friendship, stability, cooperation, and development.

In the coming time, both sides agreed to continue strengthening border management and strictly implementing the three legal documents on the Viet Nam - China land border. They will enhance cooperation in preventing and combating cross-border crimes, promote information exchange, and coordinate in handling arising issues.

The two sides also agreed to accelerate customs clearance, upgrade border gates, and reopen border crossings that had been temporarily closed due to the pandemic. They will continue promoting the construction of infrastructure projects, including Ma Lu Thang (Viet Nam) - Jinshuihe (China) border gate, the road bridge at Ban Vuoc (Viet Nam) - Ba Sai (China) border crossing, and the connecting road at A Pa Chai (Viet Nam) - Longfu (China) border gate.

In addition, the two sides agreed to continue organizing bilingual law dissemination and education activities, promote political exchanges, strengthen the twin relationship under the “Friendly post - station, building up border area” model, and expand cultural and sports exchanges, while pro-actively advising local authorities to effectively implement people-to-people diplomacy activities in border areas.
Both sides affirmed that maintaining the annual provincial-level talks mechanism is a practical activity that contributes to strengthening solidarity, friendship, and mutual trust between the border protection forces of the two countries.
