2026 Vietnam - Cambodia Trade Connection and Product Promotion Fair
PANO - On July 30, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Deputy Minister of National Defense, held a working session with the General Department of Defense Industry (GDDI) and relevant agencies regarding the plan for the 2026 Vietnam - Cambodia Trade Connection and Product Promotion Fair (VIDEX CAMBODIA 2026).
Scheduled for October 2026 at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Center in Phnom Penh (Cambodia), VIDEX CAMBODIA 2026 is expected to attract from 120 to 150 military and civilian enterprises, featuring around 200 booths.

The fair will include exhibition areas showcasing the traditional friendship and defense diplomacy between the two countries; the image of the Vietnam People’s Army in combining economic development with national defense; defense industry achievements; Vietnamese cultural space; and products and services of enterprises from both nations.

Reporting at the session, Lieutenant General Ho Quang Tuan, Director of the GDDI, emphasized that the fairs held since 2007 have yielded high socio-political, diplomatic, and economic efficiency. The event provides an opportunity for businesses to promote trade, boost exports to the Cambodian market, and expand into the broader ASEAN region. The Lieutenant General proposed prioritizing economic efficiency to create a breakthrough and exploring the possibility of hosting the fair in other ASEAN markets. Representatives from military enterprises agreed on the need to evaluate specific economic outcomes after each edition and to strive for breakthroughs in product quality.

Concluding the session, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc requested the GDDI to thoroughly review the plan to ensure a practical, economical, and effective event. Participating enterprises and exhibited products must be carefully selected to guarantee high quality and competitiveness in the host market.

Regarding organization, the Deputy Minister directed the promotion of digital transformation in product exhibition and marketing. The fair must serve as an effective channel to support trade promotion, business connection, and brand advertising.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc also asked the GDDI to coordinate closely with Cambodian partners to invite local businesses to the fair, while thoroughly assessing past events to draw lessons for better organization in the future.
