At the meeting

At the meeting, the participants were briefed by the Standing Board of the ICCMC on results of key tasks achieved by the ICCMC since the beginning of the year to May 10th, 2018 and assignments for the second quarter of this year.

The participants openly discussed and analyzed achievements recorded by the ICCMC. They also focused their discussions on discipline measures applied to nine servicemen who had violated military regulations.

Concluding the meeting, Gen. Luong Cuong held that the ICCMC’s Standing Board and Office actively, considerately, and responsibly prepared for the meeting. He also hailed straight-forward comments of the participants.

The General acknowledged the ICCMC’s Standing Board and Office great contributions and recommendations to the Central Military Commission’s Permanent Board on leadership, instructions, and organization of inspection and monitoring tasks. He also stressed that units have implemented well all of their tasks as assigned by the Central Military Commission’s Permanent Board. Significantly, the ICCMC implemented by itself and instructed inspection committees at all levels to fully implement regular inspection and monitoring activities, contributing remarkably to building healthy and strong military Party Committees and Party organizations at different levels.

However, according to Gen. Luong Cuong, the ICCMC’s Standing Board and Office have occasionally not fully understood the depth of some situations. He urged the units to continue to improve inspection and monitoring quality and strengthen cooperation with relevant agencies.

The General requested that in the second quarter of this year, the ICCMC’s Standing Board and Office should cooperate fully with relevant agencies to assist the Central Military Commission’s Permanent Board in drafting a report on results of leadership, instructions, and implementation of the Resolution of the 4th Plenum of the Party Central Committee (Term  XII) on Party building and the Politburo’s Directive No.5-CT/TW (Term  XII) on acceleration of studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle (to submit to Inspection Team 717 of the Politburo) and prepare fully for the Inspection Team 717.

At the meeting, the ICCMC voted in favor of the Central Military Commission’s Permanent Board’s proposal to apply military discipline measures on nine servicemen. As a result, three of them will be demoted while the remaining six will have their military titles and privileges removed.
