PANO - The Air Defense - Air Force Service conducted rehearsal flights for Su-30MK2 fighter jets, Yak-130 training aircraft, and Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopters on April 18, in preparation for the aerial performance during the military parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2025).
This was the first rehearsal of helicopter formations carrying the Party and national flags into Ho Chi Minh City. The participating forces included pilots and helicopters from Regiment 917 (Division 370), Regiment 916 (Division 371), and Regiment 930 (Division 372).
Flying in a 3-4-3 formation, helicopters carried both the Party and national flags, captivating local people and visitors in the city. Concluding the flight session, all formations completed the mission as planned, ensuring absolute safety.
