On behalf of the Vietnamese artisans, The Venerable Thich Tam Kien presented popular cultural values of the belief which are intrinsic to the Vietnamese culture.

For Vietnamese people, Mother Goddesses are legendary ladies who could protect and bring good things to them.

The Venerable Thich Tam Kien also emphasized that in this belief, attendance at a séance is the most important ritual.

At the seminar, the artisans also introduced the participants’ costumes worn during the practices of this belief.

Duong Thi Thu Ha, Deputy-Director of the Center said that the trip to Russia of the Vietnamese artisans aimed to introduce real values of the ritual to Russian friends and Vietnamese expatriates in Russia.

Highly valuing the Vietnamese delegation’s trip to Russia, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Son said that it was a good opportunity to popularize popular cultural heritage of Vietnam to Russian friends, particularly Russian academics.
