According to a report by Team K92, despite the vast operational area, the loss of many burial sites due to socio-economic development, and prolonged hot weather that complicated field operations, the unit successfully carried out its mission with strong determination and the active support of the Kampot Provincial Special Task Committee, local authorities, armed forces, and residents. During the mission, the team surveyed, verified, and excavated 63 locations, moving more than 40,322 cubic meters of soil, and recovered 18 sets of remains. This has brought the total number of remains recovered in Kampot province since 2001 to 1,719.

In addition to successfully carrying out its search and recovery mission, Team K92 actively promoted military diplomacy and community outreach activities. These practical efforts helped strengthen trust and solidarity between the team's officers and soldiers and the authorities and people of Kampot province, creating more favorable conditions for the continued search and recovery of fallen soldiers' remains.

Concluding the 2025–2026 dry-season mission, the Special Task Committees of the two provinces signed the document for the handover and reception of the 18 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors, enabling their repatriation to Vietnam for memorial and burial services.

Addressing the ceremony, head of An Giang delegation Le Van Phuoc expressed his sincere appreciation to the Kampot Provincial Special Task Committee, local authorities, armed forces, and people for their consistent support of Team K92 throughout its mission.

He also expressed hope that both sides would continue strengthening information exchange and maintaining close coordination to improve the effectiveness of the search and recovery of the remaining fallen soldiers' remains. These efforts, he said, would contribute to the successful implementation of the 500-day campaign to accelerate the search, recovery, and repatriation of fallen soldiers' remains while further deepening the traditional friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Cambodia, as well as between An Giang and Kampot provinces.
