Team K51 successfully fulfills search and collection of martyrs’ remains in Cambodia
PANO - On June 5, Dak Lak province held a ceremony to welcome back Team K51 under the provincial Military Command following their successful search and collection of martyrs’ remains in the 2025-2026 dry season in Mondulkiri province, Cambodia.
During their six-month deployment, Team K51 overcame numerous challenges to locate and repatriate the remains of 27 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors. This success proved the unit’s dedication and effective coordination with Mondulkiri authorities, armed forces, and residents, further strengthening the traditional solidarity between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Dinh Van Hung, Political Commissar of the Dak Lak provincial Military Command, commended the team’s achievements and acknowledged their hardships during task implementation.

He emphasized that repatriating martyrs’ remains is a crucial political mission and a profound tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for national independence, freedom, and noble international duties.
