A view of the hand-over of the artifact

According to the veteran, during the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, Regiment 28 was assigned by the Army Corps 3 Command and Division 10’s Chain-of-Command to occupy the Saigon Army's General Staff's headquarters. Officers and soldiers of Regiment 28 coordinated with other units and bravely fought, occupying the headquarters at 11:30a.m. on April 30, 1975 and seizing many trophies, including the map pointing stick.

The veteran said that he kept the map pointing stick and used it to command his unit during battles in Vietnam and while performing international duties in Cambodia. Due to both objective and subjective reasons, he was only able to hand it over to the unit today.
