On March 14, the Thai Binh provincial museum received 50 artifacts and 180 images depicting Vietnam–Laos friendship during Laos’ fight against the French and US invasion, and its present national construction.
The provincial Association of Voluntary War Veterans and Vietnamese military experts who contributed to the success of the Lao revolution donated the pieces.
The most precious items received include a combat strategy map, a fragment of a jar that conjures up a battle in Chum field in Laos, and a diary kept by Hoang Ngoc Diem that records the emotion of Vietnamese voluntary soldiers fighting in Laos.
The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented certificates of merit to 15 individuals and collectives in honour of their donations.
