The monument, located at Vinh Hai Border Post, covers a total area of more than 144 square meters. It is carved from a single block of natural stone weighing two tons. The statue’s base is made of reinforced concrete with a thickness of 15cm, while the total area of the pedestal and steps is 16 square meters. The supporting pillar and steps are finished with a stone-painted surface.

The monument is modeled on the original artwork “Listening to the Voice of the Fatherland” by artist Vu Trong Khoi. It depicts President Ho Chi Minh kindly instructing a border guard soldier to remain determined in safeguarding the integrity of the nation’s territory.
