Gifts presented to students under the “Paving the way to school for children - Adopted children of border posts” program |
The event was attended by Sr. Col. Hoang Van Man, Political Commissar of the Da Nang municipal Border Guard Command, and leaders of Son Tra and An Hai wards, Da Nang city.
At the event, the officers handed over gifts from the city’s Border Guard Command, Son Tra Border Post, and benefactors to six students, alongside a disadvantaged child of an officer at the post. A bicycle was also given to an adopted child. The gifts cost VND 20 million in total.
Despite their modest financial value, the gifts demonstrate the care of the troops, aiming to encourage the students to overcome difficulties and strive for better academic results.
Speaking at the event, Col. Man emphasized the significance and humanitarian nature of the program, which has been implemented by the Border Guard in recent years.
For the 2026-2027 academic year, the unit has presented 270 gift packages, 23 bicycles, and seven health insurance cards, while providing funds to build a house (worth VND 60 million), alongside other gifts to students under the program and local disadvantaged children, with a total value of VND 510 million. Particularly, the unit’s leaders have handed over 46 gift packages (VND 500,000 each) and 23 bicycles, totaling VND 65 million.

In addition, to accelerate the construction of six primary and secondary boarding schools in the communes of Tay Giang, A Vuong, Hung Son, La Ee, La Dee, and Dac Pring, the command has mobilized troops to contribute 2,255 working days.
