After receiving the mayday signal, Squadron 128 sent Ship 737 to the scene for a rescue mission.

Despite harsh weather conditions, the rescue ship approached the fishing boat and then towed it ashore on December 28.

On December 31, Ship 798 towed the trawler ashore and handed over the 14 fishermen to the Border Guard Command of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and the local authorities.

On the occasion, the Saigon Newport Corporation also presented gifts, worth VND 2 million each, to the distressed fishermen.
