Troubled fishing trawler saved at sea
PANO – Fisheries Surveillance Team No.4 successfully rescued a distressed trawler, numbered BD 89089 TS, and handed it over to local authorities at Ba Ngoi port, Cam Ranh city, Khanh Hoa province, on December 23.
Earlier, at 11:30 on December 20, the trawler with three fishermen on board went adrift due to engine failure while fishing about 80 nautical miles Northeast of Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province.

After receiving the mayday signal, the team sent its Ship KN-465 to the scene for a rescue mission.
Despite harsh weather conditions, the rescue ship approached the fishing boat and then towed it ashore on December 21.
On December 23, Ship KN-465 towed the trawler to Ba Ngoi port, Cam Ranh city and handed it over to its owner and the local authorities for repairs.
For now, all crew members are in stable conditions.
