Fishing trawlers successfully rescued
PANO – According to the Office of the National Committee on Natural Disaster Response and Search and Rescue, two troubled fishing trawlers were safely towed ashore on June 5.
At 8:00am of the day, fishing trawler DNa 90977 TS towed fishing boat DNa 90337 TS with eight fishermen on board to the waters Northeast of Con Co Island of Quang Tri province. Earlier, fishing boat DNa 90337 TS experienced engine failure and went adrift for two days about 140 nautical miles off Nghe An coast.

At 14:30 the same day, while fishing about 395 nautical miles North Northeast of Da Nang city, a fisherman of fishing boat QNa 90439 TS got an incessant nosebleed. On receiving the call for help, the office mobilized fishing boats nearby and relevant agencies to provide assistance while maintaining medical guidance for the crew-members on the troubled trawler.
* Earlier, fishing boat BD 98027 TS was caught in a fire while fishing about 55 nautical miles off Truong Sa Islands. All 11 fishermen on board were rescued by fishing boat BD 97981 TS.
