On June 13, the Hue city Military Command directed its subordinate agencies and units to deploy troops and militia forces to repair dike breaches in Thuy Phu commune (Huong Thuy town) and Loc Son town (Phu Loc district). Prolonged downpours had inundated and isolated low-lying areas of Hue City. A breach over 20 meters long occurred in the dike in Thuy Phu commune, threatening hundreds of hectares of rice fields. Upon receiving the report, the Huong Thuy town Military Command mobilized over 20 personnel, along with militia members, to transport thousands of sandbags to seal the breach. In Loc Son town, a 7-meter section of the dike near the Nam Son Cooperative was also damaged. The Phu Loc district Military Command quickly dispatched troops and militia to reinforce it.
