Gifts presented to mother Quat

Having sympathy for the mother’s plight, the Department of Vehicles and Machinery asked the General Department of Technical Service to build a gratitude house for her.

The 70sq.m house was inaugurated after four months of construction with VND 80 million extracted from the Ministry of National Defense’s Gratitude Fund and the rest was contributed by the mother’s relatives.

Addressing the ceremony, Major General Tran Duy Hung, the general department’s Secretary of Party Committee and Political Commissar, emphasized that the gift shows the gratitude of the troops to those who devoted their lives to and suffered losses for national peace and independence.

On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) festival, the organizer and local authorities presented other gifts to the mother.

Since 2015, the General Department of Technical Service has built nearly 40 gratitude houses for policy families.
