General Cuong and the delegation respectfully offered incense to honor the former leaders of the Party, State, and military for their great contribution to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, as well as to the development of the military and defense strengthening. Under the absolute and direct leadership of the Party in all aspects, the Vietnam People’s Army has overcome numerous difficulties, grown stronger, achieved many glorious victories, and successfully completed all tasks assigned by the Party, State, and people. The military has truly deserved its title as the heroic military of the heroic Vietnamese nation and embodies the noble qualities and traditions of Uncle Ho’s soldiers. These accomplishments are thanks to the hard work, wisdom, and significant contribution of these former leaders.

During meetings with the families of the former leaders, General Cuong sincerely inquired after and encouraged the families to continue the legacy of their ancestors and contribute to building a prosperous and civilized nation.
While visiting General Do Ba Ty and Lt. Gen. Dang Quan Thuy, the Chief of the General Staff informed them about some outstanding achievements of the entire military in 2024. In the year, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense directed the military to comprehensively fulfill all assigned tasks. The whole military demonstrated great unity and readiness to accomplish every mission; strictly maintained combat readiness, monitored the situation closely, and advised the Party and State on effective responses to situations, ensuring national sovereignty and security. Additionally, military forces have well worked together to maintain political security, social order, and safety nationwide. The defense work and defensive areas at all levels have been strengthened. The military has well promoted the role in responding to natural disasters, conducting search and rescue, adjusting the force organization strictly, scientifically and according to the roadmap.
