Officers and soldiers of the Tay Ninh provincial armed forces help locals harvest rice.

In Tay Ninh province, heavy downpours over the past few days in Binh Thanh commune flooded and flattened tens of hectares of summer-autumn rice ready for harvest. In response, officers and soldiers from My Thanh Tay and Thuan Binh Border Posts under the provincial Border Guard Command and the Binh Thanh commune Military Command under the provincial Military Command helped locals harvest 13 hectares of rice and transport the grain to dry areas. The forces also focused on inspecting high-risk areas to prioritize early harvesting and reinforced vulnerable dyke sections to minimize flood-induced damage.

In Lam Dong province, heavy rains during the night of October 3 and early morning of October 4 caused widespread flooding in many areas of B’Lao ward, with water levels rising over one meter in some places. The B’Lao ward Military Command rapidly deployed response forces overnight to set up checkpoints, regulate traffic, and place warning signs at flooded spillways.
