The delegation offered flowers and incense at the Temple dedicated to heroes and martyrs of Vi Xuyen Front on Hill 468 in Thanh Thuy commune. They paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, heroes and fallen soldiers who bravely fought and sacrificed their lives to defend the Fatherland.

At the event, Gen. Nghia and the delegation reaffirmed the commitment to absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people, and to building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Vietnam People's Army, contributing to the nation’s rapid and sustainable development in the new era.

Later, the delegation attended a free medical check-up and medicine provision program organized by Central Military Hospital 108 and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families, disadvantaged households and students in Thanh Thuy commune.

Gifts presented to policy families and needy students

On behalf of the Party, State, CMC, Ministry of National Defense, and GDP, Gen. Nghia expressed deep appreciation to wounded and sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, national contributors and local people, reaffirming that the Party, State and military attach special importance to caring for national contributors, considering it both a vital political mission and an order from the heart of every military officer and soldier.

The delegation later visited mine clearance forces of Corporation 319 undertaking missions in Tuyen Quang province and the Search and Collection Team under the Tuyen Quang Provincial Military Command. Gen. Nghia praised their great efforts and achievements. He asked them to promote a sense of responsibility, surmount hardships, and effectively implement the 500-day campaign to accelerate the search for, collection and identification of martyrs’ remains.

The GDP Chief presents gift to the border post. 

During a visit to the Border Post of Thanh Thuy International Border Gate, Gen. Nghia highly appreciated the unit’s task performance and stressed that firmly safeguarding national sovereignty and border security is a sacred responsibility. He urged the post to strengthen situational awareness, continue close coordination with local authorities and relevant forces to enhance border management, and contribute to socio-economic development and a strong whole people’s border defense posture in border areas. He also called on the unit’s troops to uphold the qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, improve professionalism, and successfully fulfill all assigned missions, helping build comprehensively strong border areas, firmly safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and maintain an environment of peace and stability for national development.
