General Phan Van Giang visits Embassy of Vietnam in Japan

At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to Vietnam Pham Quang Hieu reported on the embassy’s achievements in foreign affairs and other working aspects. He emphasized that the embassy has continued promoting its role as a bridge between Vietnam and Japan, making positive contribution to enhancing the Vietnam - Japan comprehensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world.

In a warm and cordial atmosphere, General Giang extended his regards to all cadres and personnel of the embassy and the Vietnamese community in Japan. He acknowledged and highly praised the embassy for its fulfilment of all assignments entrusted by the Party, State and Government and for continued important contribution to advancing the bilateral relations across all fields, including defense cooperation.

An overview of the meeting

Briefing Ambassador Hieu and the Embassy’s staff on the official visit to Japan of the Vietnamese MND delegation, General Giang affirmed that it is taking place in the context that the bilateral relations have constantly flourished in multiple fields. It aims to realize common perceptions of the two countries’ senior leaders on further developing bilateral defense ties in a manner commensurate with the two countries’ partnership.

General Giang expressed his confidence that the embassy cadres and staff would continue to stay united, complete all assigned tasks, and make even greater contribution to promoting bilateral relations of the two countries and strengthening the practical, effective and trust-based relationship between the two defense ministries.
