Medical staff from the Military Hospital 354 conducted thorough examinations, provided nutritional advice, offered guidance on preventing chronic diseases, and distributed free medicines tailored to each individual’s health condition. On this occasion, the organizing panel also presented 50 gifts to disadvantaged policy beneficiary families. By the end of the program, over 350 policy beneficiaries in Thanh Vinh ward had received medical support. This practical activity demonstrated deep gratitude toward those who sacrificed for national liberation and defense.
Thai Ngo Thanh, a war invalid in Thanh Vinh ward, expressed his emotion, noting that he received dedicated care and consultations from military doctors. He added that the free medicines and daily health advice were meaningful gifts for those who contributed to the nation. Similarly, Bui Thi Quy, a local martyr’s relative, highly appreciated the doctors’ sense of responsibility in carefully explaining health indicators. She shared that the program made her clearly feel the current generation’s care and gratitude toward policy families.
To ensure a smooth and safe event, Brigade 971 closely coordinated with the Thanh Vinh ward People’s Committee, Military Hospital 354, and Battalion 682 to prepare facilities. Dozens of officers, soldiers, and youth union members directly guided and assisted residents.
Senior Colonel Le Tuan Anh, GDLTS's Deputy Political Chief, stated that this activity aimed to commemorate the 79th anniversary of Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs’ Day (July 27). He emphasized that the program reflected the nation’s tradition of gratitude and further tightened the military-civilian solidarity between local authorities, residents, and participating units (including Battalion 682, Brigade 971, the Department of Vehicles-Machinery and Transportation, and the GDLTS).
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Vinh ward People’s Committee Nguyen Quang Vinh highly valued the General Department’s support. He highlighted that the program not only provided quality healthcare services but also contributed to effectively implementing the military rear policies and local social welfare.
As the program concluded, joy and emotion were evident among the beneficiaries. The activity served as a vivid testament to the close-knit relationship between the Vietnam People’s Army and the public, further brightening the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.
