Major General Nguyen Quoc Huong, Deputy Commander of Military Region 5, attended and spoke at the handover ceremony.

The house was built for the family of Ta Ngon Bu, born in 1950, from A San village, Hung Son commune. Bu participated in road construction in support of the resistance war in 1975. As a policy beneficiary, Bu’s family was facing difficult economic conditions.

Covering 88 square meters, the house features tiled flooring, a metal roof, two bedrooms, and a living room. Defense-Economic Unit 737 provided VND 80 million in funding, while Defense-Economic Unit 207 organized the construction, bringing the total project cost to more than VND 130 million.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ta Ngon Thuc, Bu's son, said that his family had long struggled without stable housing and that building a new house was beyond their means. He expressed gratitude for the financial support from the Military Region 5 Command, the assistance of Defense-Economic Units 737 and 207, the support of local authorities in Hung Son commune and A San village, and the help of relatives, which made the new house possible.

The house construction reflected the Vietnamese tradition of honoring those who have contributed to the nation and the appreciation of the officers and soldiers of the Military Region 5 Armed Forces for people who rendered meritorious service to the revolution.

The event was among the activities to mark the 80th anniversary of the Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 - 2027), support local development, strengthen the people’s heart posture, improve residents' living conditions, and reinforce military-civilian solidarity in border areas.
