After conducting an on-site inspection, Senior Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung commended the urgent and effective spirit of the forces. He expressed deep appreciation for soldiers who voluntarily cut short their Tet holidays with their families to return to their units upon receiving orders. The bridge’s structure is now completed to serve the public during the lunar New Year.
The round-the-clock efforts of the officers and soldiers demonstrate the Vietnam People's Army’s rapid response capabilities to urgent peacetime missions. It also reaffirms the military’s political responsibility as a military "from the people and for the people." The image of soldiers working tirelessly yet with pride and enthusiasm is truly commendable.
The Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs noted that the Lo river, a site of historic victories, now witnesses the military's modern-day devotion. He highlighted that sacrificing personal time during the reunion season further enhances the image of "Uncle Ho’s Soldiers."
As the bridge opening approaches, Senior Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung urged forces to finalize tasks safely and efficiently. He requested personnel remain on-site during Tet to ensure smooth public operations. Representing the General Department of Political Affairs, he praised their efforts and directed agencies to propose rewards for outstanding collectives and individuals.
During the visit, Senior Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung emphasized that this mission carries profound socio-political significance, reflecting the Party, State, and Military’s care for public well-being during the festive season.
He tasked units with monitoring troop morale as Tet approaches, ensuring commanders prioritize education to maintain unity. Furthermore, units must ensure soldiers' material and spiritual well-being, organizing on-site festivities while maintaining strict duty shifts.
Regarding operations, the Senior Lieutenant General stressed that safety remains the top priority. Forces must monitor hydrological conditions and coordinate with local authorities to regulate traffic, ensuring they are never caught off guard.
