In addition, they provided health consultations for students regarding health abnormalities, nutrition, vaccines, and immunization. Senior Colonel Dang Ngoc Thuyet, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 121, shared that the hospital has conducted the free health check-up program for students for many years. Since the beginning of 2026, the hospital has provided free health check-ups for over 3,000 students at several secondary and high schools in Can Tho city.

Along with health check-ups for students, Military Hospital 121 offers free medical examinations for working-age people in provinces and cities across the Mekong Delta region. Furthermore, the hospital regularly dispatches medical teams to provide free check-ups, medicines, and present gifts to residents in remote and isolated areas. On average, the hospital provides hospital fee waivers and reductions worth nearly VND 14 billion each year for policy beneficiaries, disadvantaged people, and poor households in the military region’s localities.

Senior Colonel Dang Ngoc Thuyet noted that the hospital’s medical staff detected numerous cases of cervical and lumbar spine misalignment among the students, adding that the hospital arranged X-rays through diagnostic imaging and provided timely treatment consultations for them.
Senior Colonel Tran Manh Hung, Director of Military Hospital 121, affirmed that the implementation of these activities aims to effectively carry out the Ministry of Health’s policy on free health check-ups for people, while helping manage, monitor, and assess health conditions, as well as detect diseases and risk factors early, thereby contributing to treatment consultations, continuous health management, primary healthcare quality improvement, and a reduced disease burden on the community.
