He added that holding a flag-raising ceremony at sea serves to foster pride, heighten the sense of responsibility, and reinforce the resolve of officers and soldiers to fulfill all assigned tasks, thereby affirming their readiness to safeguard the sacred sovereignty of the nation's sea and islands.

Long voyages and missions far from the mainland render their love for the homeland even deeper. Political Commissar of Coast Guard Ship 8002 Senior Captain Hoan Van Duc expressed that standing beneath the national flag in the middle of the ocean always brings a deeply special feeling, noting that the greater the distance from the mainland, the more profoundly the crew appreciates the value of peace, independence, and national tranquility. He emphasized that the presence of the national flag on the vessel serves as a constant reminder for every officer and soldier to uphold responsibility, solidarity, and discipline, remaining ready to accept and fulfill all assigned tasks.
